Corollary Multiport I/O subsystems provide high-performance connectivityfor RS-232 devices such as terminals, modems, and printers. Usingterminal concentrators, cable installation and maintenance costs aredramatically reduced.The 8/tctp+ Intelligent Terminal Concentrator has eight ports with RS-422data signals and RS-423 control signals, so it works with RS-232, RS-423,and RS-422 peripherals. The 8/tctp+ connects to a Corollary 8x2 or 8x4host adapter. It implements the TXD, TXD, DCD, RTS, CTS, DTR, and DSR RS-232 signals using eight 15-pin, D-shell connectors with data rates up to38,400 baud. An onboard Z80 CPU implements local hardware and softwareflow control for reliable, high-speed data transfers.
